Brother attacks brother with chainsaw

A 17-year-old male was charged with aggravated assault and family violence when he started up a chainsaw and chased his brother around the house, Seabrook police said.
In the 2000 block of Willowisp on Nov. 5, the boy was having a fight with an older brother and grabbed a chainsaw that was already in the house and cranked it up, said Seabrook Det. Sgt. Sean Wright.
The older brother ran out of the house and called 911.
[In another violent incident,] a 38-year-old man was taken to Christus St. Johns Hospital and treated for a self-inflicted knife wound and pepper spray after police subdued him, a law enforcement officer said.
The man’s mother called 911 and said he was suicidal and had barricaded himself in the bathroom, police said.
The self-inflicted laceration to the neck/upper chest happened before police arrived, police said.
[In other drug-related news:] – A La Porte man was charged with felony possession of cocaine that was discovered during a traffic stop on Oct. 25, police said. Jose Munoz, 26, was stopped in the 2100 block of 146 and found with half a gram of cocaine, Wright said.
– Three people were charged on Oct. 25 with possession of a controlled substance when they were caught with two grams of crack, police said. Two Galveston County residents, Wyone Clowell, 53, and Debra Jolliffe, 44, and Pasadena resident Rodney Smith, 37, were found in possession while in front of a closed business off Highway 146, police said.
